I was born, April 16th, 1976 in Stayton, Oregon just outside of Salem.  I moved around a lot growing up, living in Oregon, South Dakota, Nebraska, Wyoming and Nevada.  I spent most of my life in Northern Nevada and graduated from Elko High School in 1994.  I hold a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Management, earned while working at International Game Technology (IGT).  I spent 17 years at IGT (soon to be GTECH), working in the MegaJackpots Operations department (Wide Area Progressive Data Center).  Currently, I work at The University of Texas at Austin as an IT Manager, Data Center Operations.

I am happily married to my beautiful wife, Amber, and have two gorgeous boys, Caden and Dustin.  We have a yellow labrador, named Dakota (AKA KoKo, JoJo, JoJer Bear, and Golden Bear…we all have multiple names for some reason).  We reside in Georgetown, TX, where we live on our dream property, a single level ranch-style 2500 sq ft. home on over an acre with oodles of trees.  Love It!  One might even say we’re living life in the slow lane (yes, cheesy blog title pun intended).

I enjoy camping, swimming and being outdoors (when it’s not July or August).  I love tending to my yard, especially now that I have a John Deere riding mower.  I love food, wine, and am up for trying any new cuisine, as long as it is not too far out there (brains, not so much).  I am an avid baseball and football fan, rooting on my KC Royals and Oakland Raiders.

  1. Nice blog, Brad! You made a giant leap moving from the Northwest to Central Texas. No mountains or snow here, and weather can be brutal at times, BUT a lot of relatives are glad to have you and family living close by. Love, Meee-Mo
